Who
can join HSU
Employees working in the following industries can join HSU:
Private Sector
Health Professionals who work in Private Hospitals, Nursing Homes,
Disability Services, Community Service, private Doctor's surgeries,
private Dentist's surgeries, Medical Diagnostic Services or Clinics
providing Radiology, Pathology, Physiotherapy.
HSU covers almost all classifications of employees in private Pathology
including support workers, administrative and clerical.
What does HSU do?
HSU's primary objective is to improve the working lives of its
members, by negotiating improvements in wages and conditions, by
protecting workers' rights and by assisting workers to organise in their
workplace around workplace issues. HSU will assist workers by making
submissions to Governments and other authorities to ensure worker's needs
and rights are considered in decisions.
