Benefits
HSU's primary and most important role is that of working with members
to improve wages and conditions, to provide industrial protection and to
provide representation.
The types of Industrial activity which HSU and its members are
involved include the following:

Representing members in the South Australian Industrial Relations
Commission (SAIRC) and Australian Industrial Relations Commission
(AIRC)

Improving wages and conditions

Protecting jobs

Negotiating Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and other Workplace
Agreements

Negotiating with employers on entitlements

Representing members in disputes with employers

Representing members who have a Workers Compensation Claim

Protecting members in cases of workplace restructures, downsizing,
reclassifications etc.
HSU can also provide a range of other benefits to members and their
families.
